Throughout our long or short lives we will meet many different types of people. We will be drawn to certain people, and steered away from others. We will be given many opportunites to succeed and, or fail. We can learn so much from those people, if we let them. Life should not be looked upon as a chore, something we "have" to do. It is an honor and a necessity at the same time. We are not here to grace others with our presence or to profit ourselves. This world is too big to be looked at narrow-mindedly. We have the gifts of friendship, curiousity and love bestowed upon us. We shouldn't let these opportunites pass us by. To forget who we are is to exist here. To watch as life goes by is to live here. To love unconditionally and discover eternally is to breathe here. I've learned you can never truly understand life, or our purpose here. Failure only occurs when we struggle against what we know will come. We can't change the past. We can meddle with the future, but not change it. We can only live in this, here, now. We can remember, but we can also forget. We shouldn't regret the past. It has already happened, and we can't change it. Breathing is only part of life. We still need to love, live, and learn. Through discovery we can trace the patterns of time. We can let our dreams run riot to show us who we truly are. To imagine is to dream, and to dream is to believe. We forget that till it's too late. Life is amazing and beautiful and terrifying and exciting. Life is only what you make it. You can't change everything. You can only live through others changing you. You can only enjoy life fully through no regrets. With each day we draw closer to the end. And at the end we shall shed tears, but I know that because I knew you..I have been changed for good. There's good in this world and it's worth living for. To risk it all for an unknown. To go beyond pain and limits and reach the unreachable. Not crying because it's over, but smiling because it happened.

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
